32, a former worker for a professional Kaiju cleaning company, who was turned into Kaiju No. 8 after a small Kaiju entered his body. To honour his promise with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro, Captain of the Third Division, he picked himself back up and became a member of the division.
Despite his limited Unleashed Combat Power, his experience with professional Kaiju cleanup gives him the knowledge and intuition needed to aid in Kaiju suppression. During Kaiju No. 10's attack on Tachikawa Base, he revealed his Kaiju No. 8 form in front of his comrades and was ultimately detained by the Defense Force.
