Marcille is a half-elf who plays an active role in Laios' party. She wields Ambrosia, a staff crafted from the roots of second-generation clones of the world tree. Marcille also takes special care of her hair. Her long hair plays a vital role in channeling magic, therefore she changes hairstyles frequently.
Although Marcille appears to excel in offensive magic, in reality, she researches ancient magic, which is considered taboo. Marcille was a prodigy at the magic school before joining the party, but after witnessing the true nature of the dungeon, she joined Laios' party in the hopes that she could transform the place into a safe zone for gathering magical ingredients.
With an exceedingly long lifespan and a deep understanding of the magic of nature, Marcille is serious, honest, and slightly neurotic—but only to an adorable degree. Marcille opposes eating monsters, but she has come to realize that monster cuisine is not so bad, leaving her constantly conflicted.
